My name is Tobias O’Grady,

I'm passionate about growing nutritious food and landscape management and keen to employ my skills in syntropic and regenerative agriculture.

I'm now looking to establish my own enterprise in the Northern Rivers growing organic produce
and applying what I've learned over the past 6 years working on farms around the region.

I'm seeking 5-10 acres of land to lease to grow organic produce for local retail and wholesale markets and considering options for suitable land with existing infrastructure or share farming opportunities.

Metcalfe mini-farm is a family-run established organic market garden property in Central Victoria between Kyneton and Castlemaine. It has awesome soil, great water access, irrigation, and some hothouses. With 12 years of hard work setting it all up and improving the soil, this farm grows organic veggies, berries and fruit organically, using permaculture techniques.

Night Sky Farm sits in the bush 7.5 kilometres above the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, 30 minutes south of Hobart and close to a range of farmer’s markets. We back onto the Snug Tiers Nature Recreation Area and are a Land for Wildlife property. In addition to the main house and our own vegetable gardens/orchards/hothouse, the property has:
• A one-bedroom cottage with electricity, a wood heater, a gas stove and shower, a composting toilet and a 150 sq metre back garden area
• Around 1.5 acres of currently unused paddock
• A medium-sized dam.

Southview orchard is an established Peach orchard with 1500 trees in 6 different varieties, located at Hogarth Range with its rich volcanic soil, 30 km west of Casino.

The orchard occupies 2ha under netting and equipped with 2 cool rooms, a packing shed, 2 dams and tractors, mowers, mulcher, rotary hoe and plough. Our harvest mainly goes to the local Farmers Markets, farm gate sales and pick your own.

We want to diversify into a market garden and have a 0.5acre undernetting ready for a start and a possibility of another 2 acres to develop further into different fruit orchards. While accomodation is not available, plenty of space is available to put your trailer van.

Seeking passionate, communicative, and self-driven agroecological farmers

Quartz Valley Agroforestry is set on 18acres in Yandoit, halfway between Daylesford and Castlemaine. We are currently planting out a silvopasture system (saltbush, tagasaste, poplars, willows etc) and developing a rotationally grazed quail meat bird CSA. The property has a mudbrick cottage with a large communal space, two cabins, a very tiny tiny house, a tipi, and there is a yurt on the way.

We are expanding accommodation so that more people can steward the land together. A dam captures the run off in the middle of the west-east sloping valley, cut through with quartz reefs, and home to old grey box trees and echidnas. We are seeking multiple people to assist with tree planting, farm management and building improvements through a work exchange model. This would look something like 8hours of work/week plus feeding, watering and moving of farm animals (roughly 1hr every day).

Preference will be given to those with experience and skills in agroecology, carpentry and community living. The quail enterprise involves moving the birds in pens across pasture between planted tree lines with a weekly trip to the abattoir. Share farming opportunity - Mid Coast NSW

Situated on 25-acres on the majestic Macleay River near Kempsey NSW, this farm has been in production for 13 years operating as a commercial Organic horticultural farm. They have established infrastructure, equipment and an irrigation licence and live on a tarmac road 12kms from town.

The owners have reached a point in their lives where we no longer want to grow anything commercially but would love the opportunity to share what we have set up on this farm with others who share our passion for giving back to the land.

Forage Farms, a family run farm, is looking for new land share farmers. We currently run 6000 hens for eggs along with pasture raised pigs, meat chickens, sheep and some cattle.

We are looking for a couple to work part time in the business and also we will provide an opportunity to build a market garden business using the fertility that has been built by the current production methods used.

Coordinated by the Geeveston Community Centre, Scrubby Hill Farm now operates as a market garden, runs a weekly pop-up farm-gate stall, coordinates workshops and farm open days and provides a nook for local volunteers to come, connect and lend a hand. We are committed to local food security, community health and wellbeing and fostering community capacity.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The farm currently operates as one large market garden (2 acres). However Scrubby Hill Farm would like the site to encompass multiple functions including: food production, micro farm education and training, events and, experiences. We’re looking for suitably experienced gardeners to hit the ground running and take on the food production aspect of the farm and we'll do the rest! You grow and harvest; we'll purchase all of your produce and coordinate the sales and distribution to the community.
