The Young Farmers Connect annual magazine is a provocative food systems publication filled with the voices, thoughts, dreams and creative spirit of those in our community with a connection to the land. We are calling on you to help fill these pages with inspiration for the next generation of women to come with us on the journey of regeneration.
Help us challenge traditional ideas of women in agriculture, celebrate the work of women who have come before us and give voice to those who are emerging as the new faces of farming and food systems.
Through your stories and art we will lift up the empowered and empowering women in our community.
Submissions for The Changing Face of Farming edition will be accepted until August 1st.
The aim of this publication is to capture a year in the culture shift of food system disruption, creating a shared history of the changing challenges we face, progress we make and discussions we are having together across the country.
We will consider case studies, poems, essays, interviews, research papers or abstracts, recipes, song lyrics, reading lists, book reviews, checklists, farm hacks, stories, instructions, jokes, thoughts, dreams, or any other interesting text based things you can throw at us. Photographs, original art, cartoons, collage, illustrations, picture essays, flowcharts, diagrams, maps, doodles, protest art or mixed mediums work.
